About
Built in 1775 as a hunting lodge for the Third Earl of Effingham, Boston Castle was named after the Boston Tea Party, which he supported. Inside are displays on the site's history, and on fine days you can ask to go up to the roof for views over Rotherham and towards Sheffield. The ground and first floors are wheelchair accessible, and the surrounding Boston Park is open all year.
