About

The Buttertubs are a cluster of fluted limestone potholes around 20 metres deep, right beside the Buttertubs Pass road from Simonstone near Hawes over to Thwaite and Muker. You can peer into them from the roadside and enjoy big moorland views on the drive. Keep children close as the edges are unfenced in places.
