About

Guisecliff Wood is ancient broadleaf woodland on the moorland edge above the River Nidd near Glasshouses and Pateley Bridge. A public right of way runs through the wood past ponds and rock outcrops, and it is good for ferns, fungi, mosses and birds. The path is on a steep slope with lots of tree roots, so wear good boots.
