About

A Grade II* listed gateway lodge designed by Robert Adam in 1776, with an obelisk rising between two small rooms once used by the gatekeeper's family. It was the original main entrance to the Nostell estate and was restored after Heritage Lottery funding in 2002. It stands in the Nostell parkland, and the National Trust's Obelisk Walk (about 2 miles) leads to it.
