About
A wild, rocky bay about a mile east of Whitby, reached on foot along the Cleveland Way. It is a Site of Special Scientific Interest known for Jurassic ammonites, and you can see the Black Nab stack and remains of the trawler Admiral Van Tromp, wrecked in 1976. Check tide times before going down and do not dig in the cliffs.
