About
Three large earthwork henges sit in a line on a plateau above the River Ure, each ringed by a big earthen bank. They were built around 4,500 years ago and are one of the most important prehistoric sites in Britain. For the northern henge, park at Nosterfield Nature Reserve and walk about 10 minutes north on the footpath.
