About

The two castellated brick towers were the entrance to Withernsea's pier, which opened in 1877 and was gone by 1903 after a run of ship collisions. Today they stand on the wide promenade that runs north and south along the seafront, and they lead straight onto the town's Blue Flag beach. A good starting point for a seaside stroll.
