About
This scale model of the Solar System runs along about 10km of the old East Coast main line, now part of National Cycle Network route 65 south of York. Models of the Sun, the planets and Pluto are placed at true scale distances, with the Sun 2.4m across and Earth about the size of a grape. It is a flat, traffic-free path that suits walkers, cyclists and families, and the Fisher of Dreams sculpture and a nature reserve are along the way.
