About
A local nature reserve of mixed woodland and ancient hay meadow tucked into the Woodthorpe estate, parts of it planted in the 18th century. Listen for great spotted woodpeckers and tawny owls, and look for wildflowers and butterflies in the Old Hay Meadow in summer. Level paths make a 20 to 25 minute loop, but it gets very muddy after rain.
