About
Askern's boating lake is a council-run lakeside park in the middle of the village, with a pond, plenty of wildlife and an island with a dovecote. A gentle circuit of the main path around the lake is about 640 metres, so it suits little legs and buggies. There are toddler and junior play areas, outdoor gym kit, picnic spots and a cafe overlooking the water.
