About
Bagger Wood is a 27 hectare Woodland Trust wood just ten minutes from Barnsley, easy to reach from the villages around Hood Green and Thurgoland. A circular path leads from the car park, and a forest road through the middle is also open to horse riders. Come in spring for wild flowers or in autumn for the colours, and a footpath links across one field to little Lower Lee Wood.
