About
Ecclesall Woods is around 350 acres of ancient semi-natural woodland in south-west Sheffield, now a Local Nature Reserve. Look out for traces of old charcoal making and centuries of coppicing, plus bluebells in April and May. The J G Graves Woodland Discovery Centre, a small coffee stop and the Abbeydale Miniature Railway are all in the woods.
