About
Once part of the ancient Forest of Knaresborough, Hookstone Wood is now a Local Nature Reserve and town green. Two ponds formed from old quarries attract herons, kingfishers and around ten kinds of dragonfly and damselfly, and a 'Living Bridge' of growing willow links them. Paths are mostly level and easy going.
